Book Week

Book Week is one of the highlights of the Library year taking place in August annually.

During this time there are a myriad of activities that take place the most exciting of all being the Dress up Parade. Each year children are invited to dress up as a character from a book or to use their imagination along and dress up according to the theme for Book Week. These themes are chosen by the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA)

During 2020 Book Week was delayed due to restrictions associated with COVID 19. The theme was "Curious Creatures, Wild Minds!" It was wonderful to see the amazing costumes of the children at Albion and to see the joy of the Curious Creature Hunt where students cracked the code that told them "Albion children are the best children in the whole world".

To see the wonderful costumes worn by the children follow this link to the Photo Gallery.

Book Week for 2021 will take place in term 3 from August 21 - 27.

The theme for this year is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.
