House Captains

Albion Primary School has a strong tradition of house competitions.

Our houses are Blue House, Gold House, Green House and Red House.

Each student is placed into a house group based on their age. We try to have the house groups as evenly balanced as we can in terms of gender and the number of students in each age group.

Siblings are placed in the same house group.

There are lunch time house sporting competitions (for example: house basketball, house dodgeball, house rugby). Students are able to represent their house in these competitions. We also have a school athletics day when students represent their house to compete in track and field events. The winning house is presented with the Albion Primary School House Athletics Shield (with the winnng house engraved onto a plate and added to the shield).

As well as sporting competitions between the houses, each house competes to gain house points for their house for a variety of reasons that demonstrate our school's values of Respect, Care, Honesty, Learning and Achievement. Also, the houses are assigned areas of responsibility each term and it is up to the house captains to organise the people in their house to carry out the responsibilities.

Each year, students in years 4 and 5 have the opportunity to become house captains for the following year.
