A wonderful time was had by everyone as we shared Philip Bunting's book Give Me Some Space.
This was no ordinary sharing though. The story was read by Dr Shannon Walker on the International Space Station.
It was really cool to see the lack of gravity in the International Space Station. After sharing the story classes completed a fun space activity. Each child took a NASA selfie which placed their faces in a space suit and put them in front of one of the many nebulas found in outer space. This was a lovely souvenir of the day.
The day certainly sparked and reignited the children's and adult's interest in space.
If you would like a bit more space fun, I have a few links below that you might like to visit.
