Albion Primary School celebrated its 90th anniversary on Saturday 22nd October 2016.
A great day was had by all who attended, despite the horrible weather. Thankfully most of the day's displays and activities were inside. We were unable to lay the time capsules on the day but the 2016 students had a small ceremony the following week and both capsules were laid.
It was great to see so many people come through the school sharing their wonderful memories.
The formal part of the day finished with a member of one of the original families enroled at the school, a current prep student, a current staff member whose family's history with the school goes back to 1926 and Mr John Willaton who was the main instigator of this celebration, blowing out the candles of the beautiful red velvet 'birthday' cake made by a current staff member.
We had lots of terrific feedback about the day and we look forward to seeing even more people for the 100th anniversary in 2026!
