2023 Recycle Shop Wrap Up

So many students joined in and celebrated World Environment Day (all week) by bringing along items to donate to the Recycle Shop, receiving tokens for their effort and then 'buying' other items with their tokens.

The specialist teachers were giving out tokens to students who were making an extra effort this week in their classes. Students were also getting tokens for picking up litter in the yard and sweeping up leaves falling from the trees.

Students who did not want to purchase an item at the Recycle Shop posted their token/s into their house box for 1000 points each. The results were:

1st Gold 112,000 pts
2nd Green 94,000 pts
3rd Red 27,000 pts
4th Blue 26,000 pts

The Recycle Shop was a huge success, with the many books, toys and clothes donated and recycled, ready for some more loving by another student. There was half a bag of clothing left behind which was dropped into the Salvos after school. I am sure all the parents were most impressed with some of the wonderful things students brought home after their token shopping!

Thanks must go to the parents, staff and students who helped out before school and at lunchtimes this week to ensure the smooth running of the recycle shop.

Well done everyone.
