Hopefully it is only for the four days of the seven day lockdown. Thank you all for your contribution and support.Work was sent home on Thursday when we heard about the lockdown. (If your child was absent, please come to school office to collect). No other packs need to be collected at this stage. Students were provided with instructions on how to access their Google Classroom. These instructions were sent home with the work packs. The Department of Education has experienced some difficulties with EduStar and students accessing Google Meet. We have been working on this problem all day today and will continue to do so. It may be the case that we will be unable to do the Meets as per the schedule that was emailed yesterday. However, as stated above, we will continue to try so that we have it up and running.Teachers will post various messages/tasks, etc on the Google Classroom. In order for your child to be marked as 'present' for the day, they need to engage with their teacher (or one of the other year level teachers) on Google Classroom or Google Meet.I have added the Learning from Home booklet. Some of you will have seen this last year. It is made for our students (and parents) to help explain a little bit more about learning from home. I hope it helps.Learning from Home Booklet
Learning does not always have to take the form of worksheets and online activities.
Examples of activities for learning could include:
If your child is ill and cannot do any learning for the day or something else prevents them from doing their set learning, please let your child's teacher know. If you choose to do some of the learning activities (as above), also let your child's teacher know with an email. Please remember, at this time, the focus is keeping everyone safe and healthy. It is OK if you can only do parts of the learning for parts of the day but keep in contact with your child's teacher. We are here to help and we will do what we can but we are not always able to solve the problem. We all need to work together to do the best for our students. Thank you again for your support.Take care and stay safe.Adrienne WilliamsonPrincipal.
