Walk or Wheel Day - 18/9/2024

On Wednesday 18th September, we are having a Walk or Wheel to School day. This is a part of our 5-star ResourceSmart Schools celebration.

Not only is active travel good for your health, but it is good for the environment too! Riding, walking, scooting to school means there are fewer cars on the road, which results in a: reduction in noise pollution; reduction in energy use; reduction in carbon emissions.

There will be an obstacle course set up on the oval that students can participate in. All students that are choosing to ride or scoot must wear a helmet and need to have an active travel form signed (part of the enrolment pack for preps and current new enrolments) and returned to school prior to this day to be able to participate. Many students already have a signed form but ask at the office if you are not sure.

Take the time to do a ride ready safety check of your bike before the day (see below).

A Hands Up count will also be conducted during eating time on Wednesday with House Captains asking students how they travelled to school.
