In the four years of our journey we have made an environmental impact. We have also made a financial saving.
Our impact – CO2We have reduced our carbon emissions by 28 tonnes of CO2-e. That is equal to removing 18 petrol powered cars off the road every year.
Our impact - EnergyWe have reduced our power use by 26,435 kWh. That is equal to powering 5 houses per year.
Our impact - WaterWe are working to reduce our water usage to improve our impact on the environment.
Our impact - WasteWe have reduced our waste by 221m3. That is equal to 7 shipping containers of rubbish removed from landfill.
Our impact - BiodiversityWe have contributed to our biodiversity rating of 87/100 by planting more native plants and trees.
We are currently a 4-star sustainable School and have submitted our Energy module for verification for our 5th star. Students have been completing energy audits of their classrooms during their sustainability lesson this term. Student leaders have also been doing random energy audits of classrooms and offices.
